1. Scarcity Thinking
Whether it’s love, work, or money, when people focus too much on what is lacking in their lives, it leads to feelings of never having enough, doing enough, or being enough. Thinking in this way causes feelings of inadequacy and blocks one’s ability to attract more of what they really want. Practice being grateful for what you already have so that you can begin to attract even more.
2. Shaming and Blaming
Thinking that everyone else is the cause of your problems or that the world and everyone in it is against you is toxic thinking that is not helpful at all. The habit of shaming other people for what you don’t have and blaming others for your failures blocks your self-awareness and your ability to change, empower, and uplift yourself. Take ownership for where you are in your life and begin to make small changes that take you from where you are now to where you want to be.
3. Not Good Enough Mentality
Comparing yourself to other people can cause you to look at your own gifts and talents as less than. You may begin to tell yourself that you are not as accomplished, or you haven’t achieved as much as those around you. Take notice of your inner dialogue and track when you are having feelings of not being enough. Practice daily affirmations to remind yourself of how brilliant you really are.
4. “Too Busy” Syndrome
Wearing busyness as a badge of honor limits your options and choices. You can’t focus on new opportunities that attract abundance when your plate is constantly full and you’re feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Let go of things that no longer serve you so that you can open your mind to new possibilities.
5. No Action Plan
The choices and decisions that you make daily create your reality. Unclear goals lead to no action, which yields unsuccessful results. Establish clearly defined goals and commit to working hard to achieve them so that you can attract abundance in life and achieve success and happiness.
